Scholarship

One of the benefits of being a member is the eligibility to apply for scholarship. SWPA proudly supports its members by covering some of the costs related to attending conferences. We believe attending conferences are a great way to connect with other members of our profession and an opportunity to advance our profession.

The SWPA annual sholarship covers the registration fee for the annual WSPA meeting AND one night of hotel stay.

2025

The recipient of our 2025 scholarship is Christina Becker. Here is how she describes what this award means to her : 

"I am incredibly honored to have received the scholarship from SWPA to attend this year’s WSPA Annual Conference. As a Pharmacy Technician Professor at Clark College, I am constantly looking for ways to bridge the gap between education and practice. This scholarship allowed me to represent SWPA at our table and engage with the pharmacy community. One of the most special moments was reconnecting with my former mentor who trained me back in 2006! Being able to pay that mentorship forward to my own students at Clark feels more important than ever. I'm so grateful for the support and the memories! Thank you!

2024

The recipient of our 2024 scholarship is Donovan Cooke, CPhT. Donovan has been working as a pharmacy technician since 2020. Outside of pharmacy, he enjoys hiking, taking photos on his 35mm camera, watching basketball, and watching movies. He will be attending the annual WSPA meeting this coming November
